Overcoming Technology Data Challenges
If your underlying metrics feel too messy or siloed to go to market, you are not alone. We routinely resolve the sector’s most painful data hurdles:
- Customer Retention & Tracking Friction: Solving cohort identification issues, duplicate or inconsistent user IDs, and data fragmentation across disparate platforms.
- Data Processing Limits: Deploying the advanced processing power required to calculate complex retention bucketing over 3 to 5+ years of historical data.
- Revenue Recognition Smoothing: Calculating clean revenue smoothing between shifting subscription start and end dates.
Cash-to-Accrual Alignment: Resolving misalignments between cash collections and formal accrual revenue recognition.

Cash-to-Accrual Alignment: Resolving misalignments between cash collections and formal accrual revenue recognition.
-
Blurred Revenue Streams: Untangling recurring vs. one-time professional services revenue that has been blurred by complex contract structures.
-
Siloed Architecture: Consolidating large, messy, disparate, or incomplete records across systems with zero native integration.
Deep Analytics for Technology Valuations
We go far beyond high-level financial reporting to uncover the granular, cohort-level insights institutional investors demand:
-
Retention & Churn: Detailed revenue and customer retention calculated on both a gross and net basis (GRR / NRR). Advanced retention bucketing over multi-year periods.
-
Recurring Revenue Trends: Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth trends, clearly separating new logs, expansions, down-sells, and churn.
-
Cohort Behavior: Standard and normalized customer cohorts to track the true health, lifetime value, and behavior of your customer base over time.
-
Contract Dynamics: Granular insights into average subscription lengths, contract values, and historical renewal rate trends.
-
Expansion & Markets: Clear commercial cross-sell analysis alongside detailed geographic and vertical end-market trends.
Using the Diligent platform and advanced data analytic tools, the team consolidated a typical 2 to 3 month M&A prep process into 3 to 4 weeks.

News: Timely Intelligence on What Matters the Most
Metabase SQLi Zero-Day Exploited in Customer Data-Theft Attacks
A critical vulnerability in analytics platform Metabase was actively exploited, allowing attackers to potentially gain administrator access, steal credentials to connected databases and extract data; Framework and Tally both reported customer-data exposure. Metabase patched its cloud customers, but organizations running self-hosted instances have to update themselves. What caught our eye is the path of attack: an analytics application sitting on top of enterprise data can become the doorway into the underlying databases — making third-party data tools a much more consequential piece of the security architecture than many management teams may assume.
US Lawmaker Proposes Data Center Bill of Rights Targeting AI Data Center Developments
A new congressional proposal would give communities far more control over AI data-center development, including proposed restrictions near homes, schools and hospitals as well as disclosure requirements covering electricity demand, utility bills, water consumption, housing impacts, subsidies and local taxes. Similar pressure is already appearing at the state and utility level. The important technology story is that AI's next constraint may not be chips or models — it may be permission to build the physical infrastructure, with power, water, community opposition and local economics increasingly influencing where and how quickly capacity can be added.
Bending Spoons to Buy Airtable for $1.28B
Bending Spoons agreed to acquire Airtable for $1.28 billion in cash. The valuation history is what makes the story so interesting: Airtable had raised more than $1.4 billion, was valued above $11 billion in 2021, and is still producing roughly $480 million of ARR growing more than 20% year over year. For technology founders and investors, the enormous difference between peak-era private SaaS valuations and today's acquisition economics is a useful reminder that good growth and a recognizable product do not necessarily preserve a former valuation multiple.
AI Buildout Creates Employment Bottlenecks
The AI investment boom is creating unexpected competition for electricians, skilled technicians, power infrastructure, memory chips and other constrained resources while simultaneously changing how companies recruit and evaluate employees. Business leaders planning AI investments may therefore find that the largest barriers are not the algorithms themselves but access to the people, physical infrastructure and underlying capacity required to deploy them.
Massive AI Buildout Poses the Latest Inflation Threat
The scale of AI infrastructure investment is beginning to ripple well beyond the technology sector, increasing demand for power, chips, equipment, specialized labor and other constrained resources. Business leaders should consider AI not only as a productivity opportunity but as a new macroeconomic force capable of affecting inflation, capital costs, technology budgets and potentially the direction of interest rates.
